How Divorce Affects Children

In "How Divorce Affects Children". the author tells us about the impact of divorce on children behavior. Also, he shows that parents can do much to make their divorce effects less severe on heir children. Then, he starts to explain how children are affected by divorce. First, divorce is stressful for children because they do not want their parents to be separate. Second, because divorce has negative effects on children behavior, it increases the chances of psychological, mental and behavioral problems. Third, the majority of children whose parents are separated do not necessarily develop bad behavior. So, we should not call them “children of divorce”. Finally, divorce sometimes brings terrible memories to children.

I was interested in reading this article because of my news talk class’ project. My project is about the impact of divorce on children behavior. Actually, the author supported my group’s opinion, which that divorce has a negative effects on children behavior. I think divorce makes children weak inside. Moreover, it makes them feel different from other children in bad negative way. Therefore, I think that a couple needs to think a lot before getting a divorce and sacrifices for their children.
